Went Saturday, December 14th from 9am to 6pm. SW corner of lake on North side of Grano crossing. Ice is a good 8-10". Saw lot of little perch with the AquaView and one decent-sized Northern. Saw no walleyes. Drilled holes in ice with water depth anywhere from 7 to 15 feet. Perch are very reluctant to bite. Used fatheads and wax worms. Only bites were on waxies with small Gentz jig (the smaller the better) in about 12 feet. 10 - 12 other fishermen in the same area didn't fare much better. However, one guy did catch a small walleye just after sunset - don't know what he was using. Hope to do better this weekend.

Take it easy Dr. Fish. No need to get hostile. Just enjoy yourself and don't worry about what you "think" others are doing. Keep them lines tight.

just like to hunt, I do to and do not buy into that residents hate nonresidents garbage. We still want you to come, it just has to be controlled a little. This was all started by the big guide opperations to rally land owners to the free for all cause. These people will never know what it is like to have hunting spots leased up. They will always have a place to hunt. Not true for the common man. My dad and many of his friends have given up because of all the hassles you have to go through just to find a place to hunt. As for me, I think my hunting future is secure but I sympathize with those who are having difficulty in finding "good" places to hunt. Plan ahead and you should have no problems securing a license. Goodluck and happy holidays to you and your family!!!

Jimmy - I don't know if you remember what the coordinates were on your GPS before it went down the hole, but if you do I would be happy to take you back out there.
We could put my underwater camera down and give you one last look at it.
Let's go on a calm day.

Well my dad went out to Miller Lake this last weekend. Not many people there. Was in about 8 feet of water and didn't catch much until about 4:00 or so then he said they bit quite well, and then shut off about 5:00. He said he wasn't pulling them out of the hole left and right either when they bit. He kept about 15 perch by the end of the day.

I don't think that there's much left in Lake Laretta, the Game and Fish haven't stocked it for several years. With the pressure that it's seen in the past, it may be nearly fished out.

Tried East Stump yesterday and caught zero, headed to the west side and did quite well. Had to walk on from the south firing line, found spots where the ice was only 3" thick.
