A friend and myself are coming out to Devil's Lake in late February to fish perch. We have never fished Devil's before and we are looking for a friendly person(s) to give us some information.

-Good areas to fish? -Best baits/lures? -Good hotels/lodges with access to the lake via ATV's

We would like to get to know a few people there and possibly make this a yearly tradition.

Email me at jlutzow@wi.rr.com

Thank you.

Iceman, Nope, Go talk to the Sherriff. I did. Just drive over the dike at the approved place and do not drive between the dike and the ponds. In other words, drive on the ice

Anybody been out on Dry Lake, Flood Lake, or Pheasant Lake down around the Ashley/Ellendale/Kulm Area? How is the bite? I've been hauling my house from lake to lake all winter trying to find a good spot. South Hobart has been best for perch so far but I'm looking for some more spots to set up camp.

NEED A CO ANGLER FOR THE JUNE15-18TH FLW WALLEYE TOUR/DEVILS LAKE TOURNAMENT:

If anyone is interested in signing up as a co-angler for the above mentioned event, please email me at juls231@msn.com. Pro angler Mike Gibson is looking for a co-angler to sign up with, and I'm trying to help him find one.

Here's how the entry status works: Pro's and Co's that sign up as "counterparts" will receive priority entry status in each event. Those that do not sign up with a counterpart will be entered by time date stamp. So, if you are planning on getting in this tournament, it's best to sign up with a Pro Angler.

Mike is offering prefishing to anyone that signs up with him.

The entry fee for Co Anglers is 360.00 this year. It's 350.00 for the entry and 10.00 for a conservation fee. The conservation fees collected go back towards helping the fisheries the FLW Walleye Tour visits. For more information, please visit http://www.flwoutdoors.com and click on the link for the FLW Walleye Tour. All the information you need can be found there...just click on the "rules" on the left hand side of that page.

In the past the entry fees have been 500.00, so with the reduced fees, and the new format where everyone fishes for three days before it cuts to the top ten on the last day, the fields are going to fill fast! They are only taking 150 entries this season, so get your spot confirmed by signing up with a Pro Angler!

Thanks and have a great day! Juls juls231@msn.com

Fishingman, YES, it is true you can go to all the ponds at the English Coulee Diversion. Drive in from the west, go thru the open gate and over the dike at the power poles. Drive onto the ice there. DO NOT drive near the dike. PROBLEM is, there is so much snow there now, you may not be able to get around there. There are a lot of ponds and a lot of big fish. maybe if there is more traffic in there, someone will clear the snow/

Just replying to Joe on the lighting for your ice shack. If you go to www.reedssports.com and look in the ice fishing area under ice shelter accessories, they sell rope lights you can attach to the roof of your fish shack that run off a 12 volt battery. They are great for night fishing. Be out there around the 2nd week of Feb. fishing, any info around then would be great. Thanks

I never had much faith in Eds baitshop reports. I do better finding the fish myself. I go away from the crowds. Eds usually gives you the popular places to fish. I guess for a person who never fished DL before it's a place to start.

I tried 6 mile near the bridge today and nothing was hitting-I gotta start listening to the guys at Ed's Baitshop. At about 3 pm I tried larimore dam... Nada on minnows or waxxies. O yah.. I got a 5600 clam today and a Mr. Buddy Heater. wow did I freeze! The clam was nice and everything..setup took a while since the manual pics were wrong ( we guys don't actually read these things first.. Pics first, then look at the print if all doesn't go well) I got the Mr buddy after a bad experience with a Sunflower heater last year-I had a headache for 2 days. Do the clams have enough ventillation for a sunflower to be run safely? Does anyone leave their clam houses on the ice like a permanant ice house or is that asking to get it stolen? I need some good portable lighting for my house, any recommendations from u pros out there?

Thanks everyone and tight lines Joe Larimore ND
